Itch's NFSW shadowban
I have just this morning discovered that Itch.io has now recently shadow-banned a big portion of the games that have the NSFW tag.
This means that these games will not show up when searched in their website, thus removing a big portion of the potential natural growth the game would have. I'm bringing this up since this has affected Project Brood and The Fertile Temple. It's still speculation on why this is going on but it does seem to be related to the Mastercard/Visa censorship that happened to certain games on Steam not too long ago, although this seems to be a much bigger scope for Itch.io.
Luckily you still technically search project brood on google and find it that way. But I'm not sure how long that will last either, and I know for certain that other games in Itch that have been affected aren't as lucky

Well thats bullshit. First of all, the consumer can choose what they do and don't want to buy. If it's SO BAD that the credit card company doesn't want to fulfil the transaction it should be a case by case basis. Not to mention, this game is FREE (which thank you by the way, it's greatly appreciated). So how would the card companies limit FREE things??
Now i have my own opinions about how games should be but they maybe are more on the side not wanting to support NSFW games from now on but still keeps them up. It could be for advertising or investors.
Even with all this going on, as long as you follow someone, you can see when they rate a game, or release an update or something new :3
You are correct. The issue goes deeper than just what is currently happening on Itch.io, and it sincerely pisses me off.
Yeah it's a worry... but for now at least I did get this in my feed so that's something.
